Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie <3 I am 25 years old, I have been married for going on 8 years, and we have 3 children together. Our oldest DD is 7 and she has ADHD, DS is 5 and NT, and my youngest Noah ... well, he is a different story!!! He is 4 years old (well next month anyway) and we are unsure what is wrong. We have been told bipolar, psychosis, autism, and much more. Now we're just waiting on a diagnosis from doctors so we will see from there! He has been officially diagnosed with sensory integration disorder and disruptive behavior disorder. We are still waiting on appts from the pediatric psychiatrist, pediatric neurologist, ENT, and developmental/behavioral pediatrician.
I hope to get to know you all more and chat!!! I know we're probably going down a separate road with my son (he's exhibiting psychotic symptoms) BUT autism has not been ruled out as of yet.
Stephanie

Hello!
Your son has me thinking of a friend that was dx'd with psychosis-nos. It's because he thought so fast and also had communication difficulties that they thought his thoughts were disjointed. (I guess they thought he was having a word salad, when he wasn't.) I do not know how your son is. I hope this is some food for thought for you.
Hope everything is good.

Having fast thoughts and communication difficulties = psychosis-nos? That's disconcerting.
I hope you find out what's going on with your son. He might have ODD along with autism. That's oppositional defiance disorder. I don't understand it completely but it's when behaviour problems have a neurological reason. I have it mild and I just disagree a lot with people or sometimes have an opposite emotion to someone that's stressed out. It's a really worrying thing to have once you realise it but I got no control over it. More severe ODD is like hitting, stealing, yelling and just refusing to do what you're told. But it's a little bit more than naughty beahviour.

Does anyone keep in touch with Steph? She dropped off another board that I frequent and I can't stop thinking about her and Noah.
