Do people ever try to talk for you? Personally, I really don't like that. How do you handle it?

This might happen sometimes, I am not really sure. For me, when I am in social situations, I often depend on people to do the communicating for me--to "fill in the gaps" for me when I can't do it myself. This is probably one of the reasons why I cannot keep friends.

There's such a fine line between "filling in the gaps" (which I also need people to do) and taking over and talking for you, though, you know?

That got old fast Now, I have an interpreter in the form of a fiancee, who doesn't communicate for me but interprets for me. He's nice.

I've found that some people are REALLY good at interpreting (both them for me and vice versa) without taking over. Others... not so much. I need someone to interpret me for the person I'm talking to, because I have kind of an odd way of saying things.

My mum always did it for me when I was younger. She still sometimes does. Sometimes if I don't understand something she or someone else said I'll ask her for clarification.
