... one of your interests became impossible to pursue?
I was totally obsessed with Discovery Health channel. Then, when I moved into my apartment, I don't get that channel anymore.
I thought the world would end!
Now, I'm even MORE obsessed with Food Network!

I've lost interests that way - no way to pursue them (can't afford it, no access) and I switch over to something else once I get over the emotional reaction.
I absolutely hate it when I don't have access to an interest, though. It doesn't feel like the end of the world anymore, but that change was only in the past five or six years, I think.

Then I would have to find new ones.

There are a few thing I want to do that I can't:
Build a model plane. Look at it this way: even on ADHD medication I managed to super glue my fingers togather while trying to repair a broken model plane I had.
Study physics: too expensive and too much of a workload.
Landscape photographer: Need car, need to not be scared of change.
Air Force photographer: need to somehow get into the Air Force but with my mental and physical health issues...
I want to get more into art and I have all the supplies but I just can't get started. I'm not the best painter. I'm more of a doodler sketch type. I have the potential to be a good artist though but I just can't sit down and focus on it. Meds make it worse. It I am not reading or writing or doing something mentally taxing my brain will demand I do that. Some of the things I want to draw or paint involve using a lot of detail and my ADHD brain just can't handle it.
If you have a computer with a lot of space why not download episodes? Or because it's Discovery Health why not look for books in those topics? Check the website and do more research on those topics. I'd do that. In fact I have. I'm addicted to Nat Geo and History because of all the aircraft documentaries they have.

Well, that's the thing... I'd love medicine/health since I was pretty young, but now I'm kind of over it. I still like it, for sure, but I don't feel the need to obsessively learn about it.
