Funny thing is I've been remembering all the echolalic phrases I've used throughout my life. And I've been watching Buffy too.
Interesting thing is I can make my hair both look Vulcan and like one of Harry Potter's haircuts. I'm kind of a Vulcan cross Harry Potter cross Stargate command officer, most times with Daniel Jackson's accent.

I've told this story before, but...
When I was in preschool, my sister was in fifth grade, and we were dropping her off at school, my mom and I. As she got out of the car, my mom said some comment about her "b*tching and moaning" or something.
Well, I caught on, and I was repeating it like crazy. I even had a song about it. I didn't know what it meant. My sister got home from school and FLIPPED! My mom was like, "Don't give her attention or she'll do it more! Just ignore her, she'll stop." AAAAnd of course I did do it more after that!

Haha, nice. I've picked up many words that I repeated and had no idea what they meant.

I read some novel in which one of the characters called another character a "traitorous bitch." I didn't know what this meant, but I remember I got angry with my sister about something and called her that because I knew from this book that it was a thing you might say when you're angry with someone.
I got in so much trouble.

I once called some girls at my school "yuppie Christians". I didn't know what it meant but when I found out it fit perfectly. The teacher got angry with me and told me to keep my belief's to myself. What belief? I'm not sure where I heard the word or even why I said it.

This may be an obvious question, but do you get lyrics stuck in your head often? Because I listen to music pretty much everyday I notice I get lyrics stuck in my head easily. This can be useful because I find it fairly easy to remember lyrics, and have even memorized full sets of lyrics to several songs, but it's kinda annoying to repeat them over and over and OVER for hours. I think it's called "ear worm."

I don't think I get lyrics in my head that often, no. But right now I have a voice in my head. (OH MY GOSH: I just figured out whose voice it is after days of not being able to figure it out!!! In case you're wondering, it's the president of the James Beard foundation, a guy, with a very unusual voice.)

This can be useful because I find it fairly easy to remember lyrics, and have even memorized full sets of lyrics to several songs, but it's kinda annoying to repeat them over and over and OVER for hours. I think it's called "ear worm." I constantly get a song in my head that by rule I must listen to that song before anything else. Sometimes I just listen to the whole album and then replay that song, or the whole album. I don't think I get lyrics in my head that often, no. But right now I have a voice in my head. (OH MY GOSH: I just figured out whose voice it is after days of not being able to figure it out!!! I had Keifer Sutherland in my head previously after watching Phone Booth. I like his accent. I think I am a auditory thinker because I might not remember what a person's face looks like or much about them but I remember the voice perfectly. probably why I'm so echopraxic.
